We offer a variety of packages for purchasing in bulk, anything from one large box to a full freezer worth of our Farm Fresh Beef. Below is an average of what you would be paying for and what you would be taking home.

Our pricing may vary when compared to other farms. We are in the business of producing top quality AAA Beef and nothing less. What you pay here will be reflected in the quality and care of our beef, and the wonderful eating experience that you are about to enjoy.

We base our pricing on the hanging weight of the animal. (The hanging weight is taken after the head, hide, feet and organs have been removed).Take home meat varies depending on the length of dry age. If your beef is cut at 14 days it will yield the most. If we continue to age up to 30 days, it will shrink ~8% each week. Quality increases as beef is aged longer. We like to age for 21 days, it is a happy medium.
To touch on hanging weight a little more, for simplicity purposes this example we will use:

  • Average hanging weight: 690 lbs per beef
  • Pricing: $5.50/lb * hanging weight for quarters, halves, and whole beef.
  • Prices include cut & wrap fees.
  • Custom Cutting is available on Half and Whole Beef
  • We age all our beef for 21+ days, but if purchasing a half or whole beef we can do more or less depending on your preference.
  • Standard cutting is available on Quarter Beef (our favorite cuts)
  • Pick up is in North Edmonton at our Butcher.
  • To give you a relation to our individual item pricing:
    • Ground Beef $8-$9/lb
    • Stew Meat $10/lb
    • Roasts $9-$10/lb
    • Steaks $18-$30/lb

HALF BEEF

  • Price: ~ $1,925 , retail value of $2,630
  • Take home meat varies depending on the length of dry age. If your beef is cut at 14 days it will yield the most. If we continue to age up to 30 days, it will shrink ~8% each week. Quality increases as beef is aged longer. We like to age for 21 days, it is a happy medium.
  • Take home meat: 220-235lbs (40 lbs steaks, 60 lbs roasts, 6 lbs stew meat, 70 lbs ground, 20lbs short ribs, 10 lbs brisket, etc) plus marrow bones and organ meats.
  • Average $/lb for all your cuts: $8.50
  • 4-5 Large Boxes (8 cubic feet), 1 more box if you bring home bones and organ meats.
  • Requires half an 18 cubic ft freezer, with bones.

WHOLE BEEF

  • Price: ~$3,850 , retail value of >$5000
  • Take home meat: ~ 440 lbs (80 lbs steaks, 125 lbs roasts, 15 lbs stew meat, 150 lbs ground, 30 lbs short ribs, 18 lbs brisket, etc) plus marrow bones and organ meats.
  • Average $/lb for all your cuts: $8.50
  • 7 – 8 Large Boxes (14-16 cubic feet),
  • Requires one whole 18 cubic ft freezer if bringing home bones

QUARTER BEEF

  • Price: ~$948 , retail value of ~$1,320
  • Take home meat: 100 – 110 lbs (18 lbs steaks, 30 lbs roasts, 5 lbs stew meat, ~35 lbs ground, 10 lbs short ribs, 8 lbs brisket, etc) plus marrow bones and organ meats.
  • Average $/lb for all your cuts: $8.50
  • 2-2.5 Large Boxes (4-5 cubic feet)
  • Requires a quarter of an 18 cubic ft freezer, with bones

Please Note:

  • The above amounts of what you would be taking home are an approximation and dependant upon how the beef is cut. For example, bone-in vs bone out cuts. And you can get more/fewer steaks, roasts, or ground by cutting the beef differently.
  • Prices may decrease or increase depending on the size of the Beef. For example, this month's beef hanging weights were 640 lbs and 760 lbs.
  • The diagram above is not an accurate depiction of our homegrown beef.

Our finished Beef are ~18-22 months old, so they are young healthy animals. It is our guarantee that they are additional hormone and antibiotic-free.

We finish our beef on our homegrown hay, grass (depending on the time of year), and locally grown barley.

Grass Finished Beef is offered only in mid-summer, July & August. These beef are slightly older at ~26-28 months as they take an extra year to grown and finish on grass.

WHEN TO ORDER

We butcher our Beef every month, so just give me a shout to line up a time that works best for you!  A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your meat, this deposit goes towards your final total which is due upon delivery/pickup.

  • Half Beef: $850 deposit
  • Whole Beef: $1,600 deposit
  • Quarter Beef: $500 deposit

Pick up at your convenience, either from our Farm Store located on our Ranch in Blue Ridge or from our butcher in North Edmonton Wednesdays – Saturdays. If picking up is not possible for you, give me a call and let's chat to make something work for you.
